Giving Thanks Service + Fun Day!
Giving of Thanks Service is all about 'Giving Thanks' to our Lord, whether it is for the small things, you know - those things that we may over look or take for granted - daily thanks, or giving thanks for the big, happy, or hard, sad things in our lives; followed by a shared lunch and fun and games for all ages - even a BOUNCY CASTLE and FACE PAINTING! Doing Community together!
CY Camp - Rangi Woods - DREAM
DREAM
Many times throughout the Old Testament we read about how God spoke to His children through dreams. While He may not speak to us all directly through dreams today, He does place God-given dreams upon our hearts. It’s time to realise the potential of these dreams and the impact we can have on building God’s Kingdom.
Age: High School Students Year 9-13
Date: 29th September - 1st October 2017
Depart Crossroads: 7pm Friday
Arrive back at Crossroads: 2.30pm Sunday
Location: Camp Rangi Woods, Pohangina Valley
Camp is full every year. To secure yourself a spot, registration must be completed and payment made. The first 74 campers are provided a bed. The next 10 campers will be required to bring an airbed/stretcher (you will be notified of this by email). We cannot accommodate any more than 84 campers so it is first in rules.
All camp communication will be done through email. Please ensure the email you provide is one you check regularly (we suggest you provide a family address).

Your payment has been allocated to your name and has secured you a place to this trip. If you are no longer able to attend this trip you cannot sell your ticket to a friend or family member. To receive a refund (if this is an option) you must come into the office during the week, prior to the cut-off date as specified (5th September).
Parenting Teenagers: CY
In 2016 at our Parent Connect/Equip evenings we are going to be working through The Parenting Teenagers Course produced by Alpha.
Parenting Teenagers - CY
In 2016 at our Parent Connect/Equip evenings we are going to be working through The Parenting Teenagers Course produced by Alpha. Nicky and Sila Lee present five sessions that make up the course. Their talks are interspersed with thoughts and feedback from parents and guardians who have completed the course, as well as street interviews with parents and teens from around the world.
This will run from 7.45-9.15pm and will provide the opportunity for discussion in couples and/or groups. There is a small cost of $10 which in return you will receive the workbook with highlights from the DVD and questions for you to think about at home (this will cover all the sessions for this year).
Curriculum includes:
1. Keeping the end in mind
2. Meeting our teenagers needs
3. Setting boundaries
4. Developing emotional health
5. Helping them make good choices
CY - L!fe Group Night
L!fe Group Night
L!fe group offer the opportunity to hang out with your friends, learn about God, have fun, eat food and encourage each other. These small groups are led by university students and young adults who are keen to get alongside and encourage high school sctudents. This year L!fe Groups will continue to be at Crossroads fornightly on a Friday night starting at 7:30 (finishing at 9:30pm). We will start the night off with worship together, followed by L!fe Group Wars. Everyone will then split off into their small groups around the building.
If you are not part of a life group we would love for you to join one. You can sign-up on a Friday Night or flick us through an email to the office.

For that reason, each term tracks through an over arching theme so that everyone can best be inspired and equipped. In Term Three we are looking at Preparing for Healthy Dating.
This year, is the year to start putting God first. To lay down our lives and to take up our cross daily. We will live lives centred on Jesus. To bring honour and glory to God's name

Heaps of kids, heaps of noise and heaps of fun. Usually the programme involves a worship set, some sort of crazy game and a Christian message, sports in the gym, free hot chocolates in the cafe and hang out.

L!fe Group Night
L!fe group offer the opportunity to hang out with your friends, learn about God, have fun, eat food and encourage each other. These small groups are led by university students and young adults who are keen to get alongside and encourage high school students.
