Who we are
Unpacking Our Dream
A COMMUNITY OF PEOPLE
At Crossroads, community is at the core of who we are.
We believe that living life together—really doing life with one another—is one of the most powerful ways we grow and thrive. We’re committed to being a family where we’re real and transparent, even when it’s tough. Community can be messy, but we don’t shy away from it. We celebrate the wins and stand together through the struggles. Whether it’s cheering someone on after a personal victory or offering a shoulder to lean on during hard times, we are there for each other.
We believe that everyone belongs—no matter your age, background, or story. We’re convinced that true community heals, restores, and helps us all become more of who God designed us to be. When we can be this for each other, we reflect the love and grace of Jesus to the world.
That’s what it means to be a community at Crossroads.
FOLLOWING JESUS
At Crossroads, Jesus is everything. He’s not just someone we admire from a distance—He’s the one we follow every day.
Following Jesus is more than just a one-time decision; it’s a daily choice to model our lives after Him, to pursue His heart, and to become more like Him in everything we do. Whether it’s in our homes, our workplaces, or our friendships, we strive to live in a way that honours Him.
But following Jesus goes beyond just trying to live a good life—it’s about transformation. We believe that when we truly follow Him, He changes us from the inside out. Our values shift, our priorities realign, and we begin to see the world through His eyes. It’s a journey of grace—a grace that forgives, restores, and empowers us to keep going, even when we fall short. And because we’ve experienced that grace firsthand, we extend it to others, just as Jesus does for us.
Being a follower of Jesus means we don’t walk alone. We follow Him together, encouraging each other, holding each other accountable, and helping one another grow deeper in our relationship with Him.
That’s what it means to follow Jesus at Crossroads.
SHARING HIS LOVE
We’ve experienced the life-changing love of Jesus, and it’s too good to keep to ourselves.
At Crossroads, we are passionate about sharing His love with others—not because we have to, but because it’s transformed our lives in ways we never could have imagined. The Bible tells the story of a God who loves us so deeply that He sent Jesus to rescue us, and we want everyone to know that story.
We’re intentional about making His love known in creative, relevant ways that meet people where they are. Whether it’s through conversations with neighbours, community events, or international missions, we are always looking for opportunities to share the message of Jesus. And the best part? This love is a gift—it’s free and available to everyone.
For us, sharing His love is about building relationships, being present in people’s lives, allowing them to see the love of Jesus through us, as well as taking opportunities to explicitly tell people about his love. We believe these are some of the best ways to help others come to know the love of Jesus for themselves.
That’s what it means to share His love at Crossroads.
ACTIVELY SERVING
Serving is at the heart of how we live out our faith at Crossroads. It’s not something we do out of obligation—it’s a natural response to the love and grace we’ve received.
We roll up our sleeves and get involved because we believe that faith without action is incomplete. From the homeless to the influential, we believe that everyone deserves to be cared for and valued, and we are committed to doing whatever we can to meet the needs around us.
Whether it’s offering practical help like giving out food parcels, helping someone budget, or simply being a listening ear, we believe in showing up for people. But it’s more than just doing good deeds—it’s about partnering with God in His work. We don’t serve to get recognition or praise; we serve because we want to reflect the heart of Jesus to the world.
At Crossroads, we serve together, shoulder to shoulder, knowing that when we unite to make a difference, we can have an even greater impact.
That’s what it means to be actively serving at Crossroads.

WE BELIEVE IN
THE TRINITY
The Bible teaches there is one God, eternally existing in three persons; God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. (Hebrews 1: 2, John 14: 25 - 26, 16: 7)
God became a human through Jesus Christ His Son, who lived a sinless life on earth and took the punishment for our wrong doing by dying on the cross as our substitute. He was raised from death and lives forever in heaven. God did that to show His love for mankind and to bring us back to a relationship with Him. Jesus now pleads for us before God and will take all those who accept this love and gift to heaven to live with God forever. (Matthew 28: 5-7, Galatians 4: 4, Romans 5: 8, Hebrews 4: 14-16, 1 Thessalonians 4: 3 -18)
JESUS

He was raised from death and lives forever in heaven. God did that to show His love for mankind and to bring us back to a relationship with Him. Jesus now pleads for us before God and will take all those who accept this love and gift to heaven to live with God forever. (Matthew 28: 5-7, Galatians 4: 4, Romans 5: 8, Hebrews 4: 14-16, 1 Thessalonians 4: 3 -18)
THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is God. He draws us to Jesus Christ and indwells us at the moment we place our faith in Him. As we allow the Holy Spirit to change our lives He helps us become obedient to God’s Word, and to know and enjoy all of God’s promises. The Holy Spirit gives each Christian a unique spiritual ability to serve God and the church. (Titus 3 : 4-8, 1 Corinthians 12)
THE BIBLE
God’s Word, which was passed on by God to human writers became the Bible and is the truth about Him, creation, mankind, and the purpose for living. It provides God’s direction for the church and it is totally adequate and relevant for our lives today. (2Timothy 3: 15 - 17)
SIN
Because Adam and Eve originally went against God, then all of mankind inherited that same disobedience. This broke the relationship we had with God and caused the punishment of separation from God forever. On our own we have no ability to solve this situation. (Romans 5: 6, 12, 3: 9 - 20)
GETTING RIGHT WITH GOD (SALVATION)
The only way we regain a relationship with God and ensure eternal life in heaven is through faith in Jesus Christ alone. In acknowledging we are sinners (fall short of God’s perfect standards) we need to: believe Jesus, God’s Son, died for our wrong doing (sins) and rose to life again (trust in him to save us, rely on his death to pay the penalty for our sin). The evidence of this process will be a changing life developing the attitude and character of Jesus and good works. (Romans 3:21-26; Ephesians 2:4-10, 4:23-24)
THE CHURCH
God is accomplishing His purposes in the world through His Church both universally (all believers around the world) and locally (all believers within a local congregation). The Church is to glorify God by following Christ as the supreme head of the church. He gives to the church spiritual gifts (through the lives of believers), human spiritual leaders (who rule under Christ) and two ordinances (baptism and communion). (1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 1:22; Ephesians 2:11, 3:6; Ephesians 1:22; Ephesians 3:21; Ephesians 4:7-12; Acts 2:38-42; Acts 8:36-39)
FUTURE EVENTS
We all die once and when we die our spiritual being lives on. When Jesus returns to earth, as He said he would, all the dead will be raised to life again and along with those that are still living, will be judged by God. Those who have a relationship with God will spend forever with God in heaven. Those who do not have a relationship with God will suffer the consequences, separation from God forever. (1 Corinthians 15: 51-57, 2 Corinthians 5: 6 - 10, Revelation 20: 11 - 15, Romans 6: 23)
